the three types
Sun 4.12.20
Per Don Juan, in Carlos Castaneda’s Book, Journey to Ixtlan, he states that there are 3 kinds of beings. He was talking about inorganic beings, those who roam among us undetected and are able to give power or take it. I find the same holds true for sentient human beings. The 3 kinds are:
1. Those that cannot give you anything because they have nothing to give, 75%
2. Those that can only cause fear, 23%
3. And those who have gifts, 2%.
The first group drains the hell out of you if you are forced to interact with them; they must be firmly dealt with. You let your guard down with these folks, they move into your house, clean out your fridge, drink up your booze and take over the TV’s remote control gadget. These are the folks one encounters at the official government office, at the registry office, the hospital’s business office, they are, the incompetent colleague, the cunning ignoramus, the politician, the habitual liar, the greedy, the shirker, the imposter, the egotist, the pretentious, the righteous, the true believer and proselytizer. They walk among us, ride on public transportation, eat in restaurants, attend sporting events, concerts, medical offices and hospitals. These people are not your friend, nor should they even be considered an acquaintance. There may be some profit to be gained at times when dealing with such folks, but there’s a price to be paid. By and large one is in an adversarial face off when dealing with them. This may seem harsh, but nevertheless true: in any encounter one seeks always to survive. This may be easily stated and believed, it does not mean the mind will accept it and act on it. Society demands that one should be nice. Forced niceness has produced a violent culture, better to raise the bar that shields one from the ill effects of dealing with these cretins, to be firm, to respect oneself.
The second group has completely taken over since the virus has made its appearance, or whatever it is that is going on. One experiences the niceness façade dropping among strangers one meets in the course of the day. Among the fear inducing folks are the people with guns, the unstable, those with limited authority who are forced to use coercive methods, politicians, the so-called elected, the elite, the medical profession, those with unlimited power, too much money, the lawyers, the religious professionals. One’s integrity is what’s a stake with these folks. What is one willing to submit to in order to yield to their demands? What is one not willing to compromise in? To enter into battle with someone who has the power to destroy one is serious business. One should only take it on if one is willing to see it through. Otherwise one’s self respect will be destroyed totally, and one will not get past it. They walk among us, the destroyed pawns who inhabit group 1, The decision to take on the frightful has to be based on total commitment even with the threat of death hanging in the balance if necessary. A major commitment.
One only meets the 3rd group after one has learned to deal effectively with the first two. After one lays aside one’s petty, vengeful, needy character, the door opens and a magician walks in with the gifts that will enrich one’s life, that offer meaningful challenges, that divulge secrets, that open you to new possibilities on your path. It may be a 5 minute encounter or it may encompass one life. Such a rendezvous is not for the timid.
