the note
Sun 12.31.23
There’s a clip on my feed at X. It opens to a scene taking place within a church, somber lighting, its congregants are chatting. A couple appears, the chatting ceases, They walk slowly down the center aisle hand in hand, Donald and Melania Trump, as everybody looks. Melania looks fragile in this depraved world of churchgoers like a sacrificial lamb. It is she who reaches out to shake Michelle’s hand.
The clip was posted by Dom Lucre -- Breaker of Narratives @dom_lucre with this cryptic message, “They know everything. I’m sorry.” The clip shows people in their pews receiving notes, the big folks, Hillary, George Bush, Jill biden, etc. All blanch at the opened note and show it to comanions. Something is happening in DC. A secret has escaped its confines.
You look at this silvered denizen in their darkened church; we know this story well. The evil ones. I don’t know how it turns out. Do the forces for good prevail? It’s like the Buddhist monk stated after 9/11 and the talk of war was rampant. People were distressed. “You want peace,” said the Buddhist. “It starts with you. Be at peace with youself, your family, your neighbors.”
If you’ve read the IChing oracle this week it speaks of a need for action, and the action is of a higher nature. You may be overwhelmed, but it is important that, above all, you remain true to yourself and your principles. Do this and you will have a good year.
Wishing you wellbeing for 2024

MANHATTAN SEERESS NOW ON EBOOKS
Eight o'clock Sunday morning, the police arrive at her apartment in Greenwich Village, "How long have you been living here?" The roommate Elizabeth, after having accepted her half of the deposit money and rent for their new apartment, has called the police.
New York City doesn’t open its arms to welcome her, but she’s arrived and the adventure of her life is about to unfold. She’s come from Maine with an invitation from Sarah Lawrence College to participate in the graduate writing program.
How one becomes a seeress is what this memoir explores. Stories have been specifically selected to illustrate, from the sublime to the practical, a spiritual journey introduced in each chapter by an atout, the Tarot’s major archetypes. From the Fool, to The World, our human journey with its risk and folly unfolds. There is also an artist here alive to her new world seeking inspiration among artists on the Lower East side, learning the ways and foods of her Chinese neighbors, falling in love.
